IPO PAKISTAN DELEGATION PARTICIPATES IN 4TH INTERNATIONAL IPO CONGRESS IN MALTA
A high-level delegation from the International Police Organisation (IPO) Pakistan, led by President IPO Pakistan, DIG Dr. Maqsood Ahmed, participated in the 4th International IPO Congress held in Malta.
The event brought together senior law enforcement professionals, IPO section leaders, and international experts from various countries to discuss emerging global security challenges.
The congress commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Ilija Zivotic, Honorary President of IPO, who underlined the critical role of international collaboration in tackling transnational crime and promoting professional development within police organizations.
The session featured expert presentations on a range of critical topics, including first responder perspectives, the application of virtual reality in law enforcement, counter-terrorism, cybersecurity, global immigration trends, cyber-psychology, and algorithmic models for understanding personality dynamics.
President IPO Pakistan Section DIG Security Dr. Maqsood Ahmed delivered an impactful address, focusing on the evolving landscape of law enforcement, especially in developing countries. He stressed the need for modern investigative tools, inter-agency coordination, and enhanced training to counter threats like organized crime, cybercrime, and terrorism. He also shared his views and expertise on combating terrorism and terror financing, highlighting Pakistan’s efforts and the importance of international cooperation in dismantling financial networks that support extremist activities.
The 4th Congress continued IPO’s mission to build strong global partnerships, share policing strategies, and outline the organization’s strategic roadmap for the coming years. The platform also facilitated discussions on peacekeeping, capacity building, and adherence to international law enforcement standards.
The congress held at prestigious Grand Hotel Excelsior, the event brought together high level representatives from Ministriuof Interior and Justice, senior police officials, international organisations, and security experts.
IPO remains a multinational, professional, non-profit and non-governmental organization with special consultative status with the United Nations ECOSOC since 2022.
