A delegation of under-training Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASsP) from the 52nd Specialized Training Program (STP) and participants of the 28th Initial Command Course (ICC) visited the Special Security Unit (SSU) Headquarters.

 

The Commandant SSU, Aamir Khan Niazi, briefed the delegation on the functioning and performance of various sections of the SSU, including the country’s first Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T) team, and the advanced professional training being provided to SSU commandos.

 

The Commandant also highlighted the importance of enhancing the professional capabilities of Pakistan’s police forces. He underscored the need for merit-based recruitment, modern training modules, and improved human resource development to meet international standards of contemporary policing.

 

The visiting officers toured multiple wings of the SSU and expressed appreciation for the high standards maintained in management, administration, and counter-terrorism operations.

 

At the conclusion of the visit, Commandant SSU presented honorary shield to member of the delegation as a gesture of goodwill and acknowledgment.
