DIG DR. MAQSOOD AHEMED INSPECTS SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS AT NATIONAL BANK CRICKET ARENA; MEETS CHAIRMAN PCB

DIG Security and Emergency Services Division Dr. Maqsood Ahmed visited National Bank Cricket Arena to review the security arrangements for the cricket test match being played between Pakistan Cricket Team and Blackcaps (New Zealand).
 
DIG Sindh Police Security & Emergency Services Division also met with the Chairman PCB Mr. Najam Sethi and discussed the security matters pertaining to the ongoing New Zealand cricket team’s tour.
 
According to the security plan, more than 3500 personnel are deployed for the security arrangements. 1500 personnel of Security Division including 850 Special Security Unit (SSU) Commandos and lady commandos, 1537 personnel of Traffic Police, 394 personnel of Special Branch and personnel of district police are performing security duties along-with personnel from other law enforcement agencies at National Bank Cricket Arena, Karachi Airport, routes, hotels and other different locations, while sharp shooters have also been deployed at sensitive points.
 
The Chairman PCB Mr. Najam Sethi expressed satisfaction over the security arrangements, whereas, DIG Security Dr. Maqsood Ahmed said that reinstatement of international cricket in the country is worth appreciating and law enforcement agencies rendered a lot of sacrifices for it.
