DIG Security and Emergency Services Division Dr. Maqsood Ahmed visited National Bank Cricket Arena to review the security arrangements for the Pakistan Super League Edition-8 matches.

 

According to the security plan, around 7500 police personnel have been be deployed for the security arrangements. 2600 personnel of Security Division including 1000 Special Security Unit (SSU) Commandos and lady commandos, 1800 personnel of Traffic Police, 600 personnel of Special Branch and personnel of district police are performing security duties along-with personnel from other law enforcement agencies at National Bank Cricket Arena, Karachi Airport, routes, hotels and other different locations, while sharp shooters have also been deployed at sensitive points.

 

The DIG Security while visiting analysed the parking arrangements at China Ground and over all security measures taken for the PSL matches. He also issued special directions for police personnel to be alert and vigilant during the matches.
