On the directives of Additional IG Karachi Imran Yaqoob Minhas and DIG Security & Emergency Services Division Maqsood Ahmed, an anti-riot force comprising 500 police personnel has been constituted.

 

The purpose of the establishment of the force is to deal with any situation regarding rioting and law & order situation created by miscreants in the city.

 

It was decided in a meeting presided by the Additional IG Karachi. The force would assist local police and other LEAs in emergency situations.

 

DIG Security Maqsood Ahmed informed that the Anti-Riot Force comprises SSU commandos and police personnel of security division are equipped with the latest anti-riot gadgets will stay alert round-the-clock to respond to any hostile situation.

 

On the occasion, Commandant SSU Zeeshan Shafiq Siddique said that the force is capable to foil the nefarious plots of miscreants in the city. The personnel are well trained and equipped with the latest equipment.
