A self-defence and firearms safety course was organized at SSU Headquarters wherein, a delegation comprising BBA students of UIT University, Karachi participated and gained practical knowledge and experience of the self-defence course.

 

The purpose of the course was to acquaint faculty members and students with various precautions in case of any emergency or untoward incident. During the training, the delegation was briefed about martial arts, firing and the use of different types of weapons. Later, they also made shooting practice practically.

 

The members also visited various sections of SSU headquarters and lauded the professional standards maintained and efforts to further enhance the capabilities of SSU Commandos.

 

On this occasion, DIG Sindh Police Security & Emergency Services Division Dr. Maqsood Ahmed said that self-defence training for the general public and students particularly is need of the hour as it will help in defence in case they face any untoward situation.

 

Later, DIG Security Dr. Maqsood Ahmed presented certificates to the members of delegation after completion of one day training.
