DIG Sindh Police Security & Emergency Services Division Dr. Maqsood Ahmed delivered a lecture to the participants from Police, NAB and Federal Investigation Agency – FIA at National Police Academy Islamabad on Money Laundering & Terror Financing. The participants are undergoing 5th Domain Specific Training Course at the Academy.

 

The DIG Security highlighted various aspects of 49 FATF recommendations, and it’s utility in countering money laundering & terror financing in Pakistan. The participants were informed about techniques and investigation of terrorism financing and various linkages. The Deputy Commandant NPA Naeem Ahmed Sheikh and other senior officers were also present.

 

The aim and focus of the training is to equip the officers with advance professional skills as senior police and law enforcement officers.

 

Dr. Maqsood Ahmed expressing his views said that addressing the officers at National Police Academy is a great honor for him as sharing his experience and knowledge gained from national and international platforms would be beneficial for the officers undergoing the course.

 

It is pertinent to mention here that DIG Dr. Maqsood Ahmed has recently earned a doctorate in Terrorism Financing from Northumbria University, United Kingdom.
